Building a brand story, Oregon-style. Organic. Local. Hand-Crafted.
Pure Wild Oregon started in a deli/grocery in a small town along the Oregon coast. The deli owner made some amazing jams and sauces she sold at her business that were beginning to gain recognition with frequent customers who would buy them every time they came into her shop. She decided she wanted to go into retail and needed a name and full brand development. We flew to the Oregon coast to meet with the owner, find out more about her business and establish goals for getting her products to market. We spent a week learning everything we could about their company, their products, and their ethos. Using what we knew about the client’s focus on unprocessed, natural, locally-sourced foods, we went through a naming exercise and Pure Wild Oregon was chosen for their new brand name.
With the name established, we turned our attention to creating a unique, recognizable brand mark. Colors, fonts, messaging, and materials—all had to reflect the personality and goals for the Pure Wild Oregon story. Our final guidelines describe a visual identity that evokes the rustic and unburdened Oregonian personality. Unstructured graphics, warm earth tones, splashes of watercolor paint and sweeping landscapes embody the brand’s personality and focus on the simple joys of great food.
